Hurst Financial Management

Hurst Financial Management is the trading name for R.J. Hurst and Partners Ltd, a firm of independent financial advisers established in 1951, initially based in Frinton on Sea but now relocated to offices in Clacton on Sea, Essex.

The Hurst Financial Management name brings together all our previous brands, which included Pulse Independent I.F.A., Doctor Insurance Services, Dental Insurance Services and Hurst Insurance Services.

We provide advice, either at our offices or at a location more convenient to you, to individuals, families and companies in Essex and throughout the UK on many key aspects of financial planning, through a long term approach of fully understanding our clients' needs, wants and aspirations and then prioritising objectives.

Following your initial review, we will take time to consider your situation, needs and priorities before setting out our recommendations. We typically arrange a follow up meeting in which we will fully explain our recommendations and agree priorities to assist you in achieving your objectives.

Apart from our advisers, we have a team of dedicated staff who are on hand to support the administration process and who are able to liaise with you and the companies we use to ensure you receive a high quality service.

Meet the advisers

Stuart Smith – Managing Director and IFA

Stuart has been at Hurst all his working life (since 1984!), initially as a trainee adviser. He now owns half of the company, and advises clients throughout Essex and the rest of the UK. Outside of work, Stuart likes to spend time with his family, and watching most sports.

Geoff Moore – IFA

Geoff has been with the company since 2003, joining as a fully qualified adviser. As well as advising clients throughout East Anglia on their financial needs, Geoff specialises in helping clients with Wills and Powers of Attorney, as well as providing help and advice on long term care planning. Much of Geoff’s spare time is taken up by his family.
